A prep hockey club site that recruits players and keeps families informed.
The Vancouver Whales field 14U and 16U teams in the North American Prep Hockey League. We rebuilt their website around what families and recruits look for first, the teams, the schedule, the news and the stats.

What they needed.
A prep hockey club's website has two audiences. Families need the schedule, the scores and the news. Players weighing up where to play next want to see the teams, the results and how the club runs. The site had to serve both without making either one dig.
The stats had to be real. Every number on the site comes from the club's live HockeyOS data, not tables typed in by hand.
What we built.
- A page for each team
- The 14U and 16U teams each have their own page, with live HockeyOS stats built into it.
- Game centre and schedule
- A schedule and game centre, with the HockeyOS widgets set into the club's own design so they read as part of the page.
- News and game recaps
- A news section with its own article template. Game recaps are built from the league's official match data, so the scores are right.
- League, alumni and partners
- Pages for the North American Prep Hockey League, the club's alumni and its partners. Alumni listings show only records the club has confirmed.
- Programs, and one invitation
- Pages for the winter and spring programs, and a single call to action on every page, Become a Whale.

Where it landed.
The rebuilt site is live at whaleshc.com, with both teams' stats updating from HockeyOS.
Families find the schedule, scores and news in one place, and recruits can see each team's real results before they get in touch.
